• Progettato dallo studio newyorkese Gabellini Associates, sotto la stretta regia di Giorgio Armani. Inaugurato nel 2000, reinterpreta in modo creativo la tradizione dei Passages ottocenteschi francesi e quella dei Grandi Magazzini europei. Nell’ex palazzo Assicurazioni Generali (progettato da Enrico A. Griffini nel 1937), 8000 mq. di sapore hi-tech, minimalista, con tre ingressi principali (via Manzoni, via Pisoni, via Croce Rossa) dai quali si accede alla galleria pedonale. Si articola su tre piani: al piano terra Emporio Armani donna e accessori donna, Emporio uomo, classic e fashion, ed Emporio accessori uomo; i corner EA gioielli, orologi e occhiali, profumi e make up, Armani/dolci e fiori, Emporio Armani Caffè e il lounge bar Armani Nobu. Al primo piano l’Armani Jeans uomo e donna, Armani/libri, il ristorante Emporio Armani Caffè e Nobu ristorante, accessibile anche da via Pisoni. Nell’interrato la collezione Armani Casa e l’Armani Privé.
• Designed by the New York studio Gabellini Associates, under the guidance of Giorgio Armani. Opened in 2000 is a creative reinterpretation of the tradition of the 19th-century French Passage and the European department store. In the former Assicurazioni Generali building designed by Enrico A. Griffini in 1937, 8000 sq. meters of high-tech minimalism, with three main entrances (Via Manzoni, Via Pisoni, Via Croce Rossa) to the concourse flanked on three levels by the traditional Armani Emporiums: on the ground floor, Emporio Armani Donna and womenís accessories, Emporio Uomo, split into Emporio classic and Emporio fashion, and menís accessories; as well as the corners of EA jewelry, watches and eyewear, fragrances and make-up, sweets and flowers, and the Nobu lounge bar. On the second floor, Armani Jeans Uomo & Donna, Sony Gallery, the bookstore, the Emporio Armani Caffè and the Nobu restaurant, also accessed from Via Pisoni. The basement contains the Armani Casa collection and the Armani Privé.

• Anche DVD shop nella caffetteria trend, progettata da Matteo Tartufoli, con accesso alla chiesa barocca di S. Teresa, trasformata oggi in mediateca (10-18 h.). Caratterizzano il progetto le grandi vetrate a tutt’altezza che si affacciano sul giardino all’ingese, aperto d’estate. Gli interni sono stati curati da Tito Canella; parquet, arredi su misura, poltroncine in midollino di Gervasoni. Colazioni, lunch con salumi, carpacci, insalate e aperitivi con vini e cocktails.
• Also DVD shop in this coffee bar, designed by Matteo Tartufoli, with entry to the baroque St. Theresa church, now turned into a mediatheque (10 a.m. at 6 p.m.). The project is characterised by large full-height windows overlooking the English garden. Interiors have been made by Tito Canella; floor panelling, made-to-measure furniture, Gervasoni wickerwork small armchairs. Breakfast, lunch with cold meats, carpaccios, salads and aperitifs with wines and cocktails.

Sober atmosphere for the new Osteria i 3/4 restaurant, managed by a group of women from the association “Donne in Campo”, offering fine cuisine with genuine ingredients from small Lombardy producers belonging to the association; complete meals or breaks with cakes, yogurt and fruit.

• In uno storico palazzo di fine ’700, un nuovo concetto trasversale pensato per l’uomo nella boutique degli stilisti: dall’abito al relax totale, con trattamenti di bellezza mirati, a un drink, a un lunch veloce o a un aperitivo al bar, in collaborazione con Martini&Rossi (8:30-21:30 h.). 1700 metri quadrati nel centro di Milano, di cui 700 dedicati all’abbigliamento. Nella suggestiva piazzetta che si apre all’interno della boutique Dolce&Gabbana Uomo, un centro Beauty Farm (tel. +39 02 76 40 88 88) di spettacolare modernità e avanzatissima tecnologia che offre il più completo comfort per uomini e donne di ogni età. All’intervento strutturale di David Chipperfield, inaugurato nel gennaio 2003, l’interior design è stato curato da Ferruccio Laviani che, per i due piani della zona bar, ha scelto il nero per le pareti lucide, il pavimento in mosaico, con disegno di un drago rosso, i divanetti in pelle e i piccoli tavoli; imponente il lampadario in vetro soffiato di Murano disegnato dagli stilisti. E poi il barbiere, come vogliono le tradizioni, fa la barba ancora alla vecchia maniera.
• In a historical building from the late 1700s, a new concept for men in the boutique of the fashion duo: from clothing to total relaxation with special beauty treatments, a drink, a light lunch or an aperitif at the bar, in collaboration with Martini&Rossi (8:30-21:30 h.). 1700 square meters in the center of Milan, of which are 700 for clothing. In the attractive plaza inside the Dolce&Gabbana Uomo boutique, a Beauty Farm center (tel. +39 02 76 40 88 88) of spectacular modernity and very advanced technology offers the most complete comfort for men and women of all ages. In the structure remodeled by David Chipperfield, opened in January 2003, the interior design is by Ferruccio Laviani, who has chosen black, in the levels of the piano bar, for the glossy walls, the mosaic floor with a red dragon motif, the leather sofas and small tables. The impressive chandelier in blown Muran glass was designed by D&G themselves. And the barber, still offers a traditonal shave.
